| About Us |
The East Fife JSC (Young Fifers) were started to give local Levenmouth youngsters the chance to become more involved in supporting their local team - East Fife FC. We started from nothing in 1999 and now have over 200 members aged 6-16, both boys and girls.
Our members soon made it clear that they wanted to do more than simply just watch football, so many other activities have been introduced including coaching, playing 7 a side games against local school sides, participating in football festivals and visiting opposing clubs.
This has rapidly developed in recent years hence our coaching sessions have become an essential part of East Fife JSC because of the increasing numbers. We now have 10 coaching sessions with a total of over 300 kids per week.
The club's coaching sessions are initially set up to give every child in the Levenmouth area a chance to learn and play football in a safe and fun environment regardless of their personal ability.
All our coaches at all training sessions are qualified S.F.A coaches and have all relevent Disclosure and First Aid certificates. |
| East Fife JSC receives prestigious award |

11 Local Youth Football Clubs have been recognised for their valuable contribution to grassroots football. At a special Awards evening at Cineworld Dundee the clubs were presented with the Scottish FA Quality Mark Standard Award by Dundee United Footballers Scott Robertson and Paul Dixon. The Awards are part of the Quality Mark Accreditation Scheme run by the Scottish FA in partnership with McDonald’s which recognises proactive clubs and schools working to increase youth and community participation.
There are three Quality Mark categories - Standard, Development, and Community. So far nationally almost 100 clubs and schools have achieved accreditation over the three categories, and over 4,000 coaches have benefited from coach education and first aid training.

The Clubs all have to meet strict criteria in areas such as coach and player development, management, administration, welfare, and planning.
Gordon Pate Chair of the SFA East Region Committee said: “Quality Mark has been a great success story for many clubs allowing them to become more organised off the field. Through Quality Mark the clubs are in a position to build capacity allowing for more youngsters to get involved in football, which is great for football, communities and for Scotland.”
Ian Lowe SFA Regional Manager said: “Quality Mark is about recognising good practice in our football clubs and supporting them as they develop further. All of the clubs awarded Quality Mark Status provided many opportunities for children to play from a young age through to adulthood, in a safe, friendly and developmental environment, and with well qualified volunteer coaches – well done to all the clubs.”
McDonald’s, official partner of the Scottish FA Quality Mark Accreditation Scheme, will invest £100,000 in the scheme over the next three years as part of its ongoing commitment to grassroots football in Scotland. The scheme is part of McDonald’s long-standing partnership with the Scottish FA, which has also helped to create over 1,400 community coaches across Scotland since 2002.
Through the scheme, McDonald’s and the Scottish FA aim to provide support to grassroots clubs and schools across Scotland as they strive to broaden youth and community participation and to enhance player, coach and volunteer development.
The Quality Mark scheme is supported by the Big Lottery Fund, which contributes to the employment of all Scottish FA club development staff, as well as discounted coach education and first aid courses for grassroots volunteers. The Big Lottery Fund is a key Scottish FA partner, contributing £6m to the delivery of the Scottish FA Youth Action Plan.

| League Winners 2009 |
Congratulations to East Fife JSC 1994’s who lift their League trophy for this season
A fantastic effort by the team throughout the season culminating in them lifting the league trophy this year.
Well done to the players and coaches
Also congratulations to East Fife JSC 1993's team who after winning the second division last year surpassed all expectation to lift the first division trophy this year. A fantastic achievement....well done to all involved |
| Donation |
Thanks to Grant Mathews mum Carol who asked her employer for a donation and was given £250 from The Royal Bank Of Scotland.

As funds are tight at this time of year we would urge all parents to ask their employers if they could make a donation to East Fife JSC to help keep us going. Without additional donations like the one from RBS we cannot keep going as an organisation. And to the players- THIS IS YOUR TEAM....ASK YOUR PARENTS TO ASK THEIR BOSSES FOR A DONATION.....EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS
Once again thanks to The Royal Bank of Scotland for their donation. Remember that we train over 300 children weekly....If 10% of parents ask the employers for a donation of £100 and only half of them get a response, that would be £1500 into the club funds...what a massive difference that would make to the club. Everyone who donates will get a link to their website from ours and a framed thank you letter from East Fife JSC on behalf of the children.
So come on everybody its only one question you have to ask and the worst thing that can happen is that they say no. |

| SYFA Regional Team of the Year East Fife Junior Supporters Club |
Congratulations to the 94s for being awarded the SYFA Team of the year From the SYFA website:- Regional Team of the Year (East) East Fife Junior Supporters Club East Fife Juniors Supporters Club have a squad of approximately 18 children, boys and girls, all of whom get an equal chance to play 11 a side development football regardless of the score during any match. The 4 coaches involved with this age group are all very encouraging towards the kids again regardless of the score during or the final result of the match. Without teams like this in our league we would no structure to form leagues to give the youth the opportunity to be involved.
The team spirit captures what we promote to foster and develop. Equal opportunity is shown with the involvement of boys and girls. It is very pleasing to promote a club which views participation a success rather than medals and trophies. To quote the team message “equal opportunity to participate is given to boys and girls. Win lose or draw the team spirit outshines the result”.
